“The heart has its reasons which reason knows not of” – Pascal
And through this learned, that taking “a leap of faith” is a big part of life. And through acts of courage and trust, with patience the rewards do come.
Are you following your heart?
The best way for us to prove that, is through action.
I didn’t officially communicate this to the “Edmonton Satvatove Community” and for months some of you have been expecting another course from me (because I did commit to that). That broken agreement is an issue. I’m sorry for not communicating this sooner. And it was in speaking with Antoine Palmer, it became apparent this is a integrity issue, and out of alignment for me.
Antoine eloquently described how a declaration (stating something with our word), plus the integrity to “stick with it” and deliver, is what makes leaders. In my own words, this is where leaders either win or lose people. And I’ve missed the mark with this!

As an introvert, standing up and sharing your “story” isn’t easy right? Instead it can be a stretch that takes courage.
There’s this really cool thing for us “introverts” though … called blogging. And through a conversation with my extrovert friend, Lynne MacQuarrie we uncovered some reasons “why” blogging is a MUST for introverts.
With that in mind, here’s 7 KEYS to becoming a thoughtful leader.
1.
Have pen & paper ALWAYS available – the ideas will come fast & furious when you least expect it. Be ready to capture inspiration. Like in so many books that profess the power of writing things down – MY GOODNESS it’s true. Write it down!
2.
Acknowledge profound insights & powerful actions in yourself in others – celebrate this – it’s a gift. The more you honour this, the more you’ll receive. This is abundance.
3.
Serve YOU. Your core purpose is to love you & feed your soul.

When I was young, he’d come home – appearing to be a giant of a man. Looking at least 8 feet tall. I could remember being so excited to see him. My dad, my hero.
20 some years later … in that very same room, he’s weak, thin, tired & appears to have aged 50 years, compared to my 20. The cancer’s taking its toll. He’s exhausted & depleted. My father’s giving up his 26 month fight with cancer. Done … all that remains is the closing days & weeks … whatever that was to mean.

Consciously choosing my path is the most rewarding way to live. I can either float around aimlessly in the ocean, associating with “good people” and “cool things” or board the ship-liner of my journey & go for it!”
We’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible. Our potential to be powerful, open & responsible in our life & support others is left mostly untapped. Ego runs rampant in the world. We blame others, trapped as victims, not realizing we have the capacity to change our life experience, which domino’s into the life of others. All the potential in this world is latent inside you & me. It’s waiting …

It’s said “when the WHY is strong enough the HOW will show itself”. The passion inside to really “go for it” in life – the WHY, is stronger then ever for me. As Dr David Wolf tells, living with a sense of “urgency”, is the idea that “every moment counts”. David lost his mother in early February, making the theme of urgency relevant for him as well.

10′s upon 100′s of jail cells … all around me. One specifically to my right, seems like it could be mine, however I’m not inside it. Where I stand is the hallway of an entire prison. Looking down the prison there is no one else …
Who created this prison?
Here are some basic, but potentiall very powerful tips for writing a great song in a “civic cycle”.
1. Study music from the 20′s, 30′s & 40′s … based on the idea that our society is cyclical … every 40 years we shift into a new cycle.
2. Write so people can personally identify with what’s being said
“The must be a balance between comfort and hope to prompt change. Discomfort generates motivation. On the other hand, comfort frequently generates complacency. When there is an absence of hope, there is an absence of incentive.
